I really like the Solitaire Kettle as it goes with my Solitaire Toaster and my Solitaire Set of 3 Cannisters.
The downfall of the Kettle however is that the Kettle lid is difficult to open and sticks continuously and have to use my fingernail after 6 attempts at opening it up, mechanism needs looking at.

I had this kettle for about 11 months then it packed in but I had to replace it as I also had the matching toaster . If it hadn’t been for toaster I would not have bought this kettle again.

I bought the set with microwave, kettle and toaster. The photos show the kettle and toaster with a pretty beige shimmer however it is just a beige matte finish. The items are plastic and look cheap. Very disappointing.

So far, so good! Performs well, boils water exactly as you’d expect. Easy to clean also, which is an important factor (to me, anyway). Only things that I would love to have been improved is cord length, and noise reduction. I don’t think I’ve ever owned such a loud kettle.

Item sent promptly. Looks smart & is lightweight. Good that it swivels left to right easily as one of us is left handed. Pours accurately with no spillage, a problem with our previous kettle.

I find it difficult to judge how fill the kettle is when filling. Gauge is behind handle. I think for the guage to be clear of the handle would suit better. I have been caught out with water spitting out when coming to the boil. My routine is for one kettle load is enough for a cup of tea and to fill hot water bottle. Being unable to hold the kettle at a more suitable height on filling due to weak arthritic hands doesn’t help with seeing the guage.
